Aeromotor Sorbet

Aeromotor Sorbet was what I was thinking of when I walked upon this scene. Aeromotor because of the windmill, obviously, and sorbet because of the soft colors that I was beginning to see in the sky as the sun started to make its presence known. But would the scene develop as I thought it might?

This is my “go-to” location when I need a SE-facing composition as I did during this sunrise. The clouds would surely block any color to my West. The sky was only hinting at what would come. I set up my camera and “boom” the sky lit up. I wasn’t quite ready and was a bit caught off guard. I thought I had at least a couple more minutes to get situated. Quickly, I took a few different compositions, grabbed my cellphone for a BTS image, and it was gone.

Aeromotor Sorbet Wide is the title of this image and it shows an old aeromotor windmill sitting hillside in the foreground with the day's morning sunrise lighting up the clouds in the background.

Aeromotor Sorbet: Wide

The above image is a wide version of Aeromotor Sorbet showing a bit more of the contours of the land. I’ll surely be accused of over-saturating these images. Oddly enough, the saturation was set to -1 when I post-processed them.

Aeromotor Sorbet is an image of an old Aeromotor windmill in the foreground with the morning's blazing sunrise reflecting off of the clouds in the background.

Thanks for stopping by! Today, as I write this, it’s snowing outside. A bit gloomy today, but I hope to get out tomorrow and capture a bit of it. :-)

Y’all have a good day!
