Landscape Photography Training
Composition
Composition is the art of arranging the elements of a scene in a way that creates a pleasing and harmonious visual effect. In landscape photography, composition is especially important, as it can make the difference between a dull and a stunning image. A good composition can draw the viewer's attention to the main subject, create a sense of depth and perspective, convey a mood or a message, and enhance the beauty of the natural scenery. Some of the common compositional techniques used by landscape photographers are the rule of thirds, leading lines, framing, balance, symmetry, and contrast. By applying these principles, a photographer can create images that capture the essence and the emotion of the landscape.
This is all great, and a lot of words, but it can be a lot simpler than this and that is how I teach it; simple.
