I’ve long wanted to photograph the Big Crane Petroglyph, a historic site that fascinated me. On a cold night, I made it a priority and hiked aimlessly the next morning. Just as I was about to give up, I looked up—and there it was!

Traveling from Colorado’s snowy peaks to Utah’s sunlit deserts reveals a striking contrast: crisp mountain air to warm desert breezes, vibrant red rocks, and ancient cliffs, showcasing nature’s powerful transformation.

Ride along as I leave Colorado and head into Utah, Nevada, California, Arizona, New Mexico, and back to Colorado.

Join us as we travel to Wyoming and the Grand Teton National Park, to the deserts of Utah, and back through Colorado taking autumn images along the way.

I made a quick trip out to a few different locations within Canyonlands National Park and took a few pics. Enjoy!

I had five days to squeeze in a speed run through NW AZ and SW UT. The weather looked like it could go either way, amazing or awful. The direction it took, only time would tell…

I am starting 2020 off with a huge road-trip across the SW and NW!

Ever been on a photo shoot and feel as if you missed out on a shot only to return weeks later in an effort to get the shot you “missed” before. Well, that sums up this trip quite well. On this trip, I shoot a sunrise in the Windows Area, a daytime shot at Corona and a couple of night images at Delicate Arch.

An almost 2,000 mile road-trip through Canyonlands, Arches, Monument Valley, Lower Antelope, Horseshoe Bend, Zion, Bryce and Hanging Lake.

Well over 22 hours of driving with +1,375 miles covered over 3.5 days including destinations such as Mesa Verde, CO, Monument Valley, UT, Arches National Park, UT, Canyonlands National Park, UT and wrapping the trip up at Rifle Falls, CO.
